The focus of this professional development is to support middle and high school teachers by providing activities such as, designing effective lessons, analyzing student work and performance assessments, re-designing math engagement lessons and lesson study. The FiMC theory of action is to shift this professional learning back to the mathematics departments and grade levels at the school sites. Deprivatizing teaching and developing a community of learners who take ownership and responsibility for the math instruction of all students will be at the heart of the work.
