The Silicon Valley Mathematics Initiative co-sponsors an annual summer leadership institute with the Santa Clara Valley Math Project. Leaders and emerging leaders from the member districts receive intensive training in math content and pedagogy. The goal of the institute is to provide expert training for teacher-leaders in mathematics, classroom instruction and leadership roles. The Leadership Institute is 10 days total – five Tuesdays in May/early June, followed by 1 week in June.

REQUIREMENTS
Districts often select teams of two to three math leaders or emerging math leaders for the training.
